I met Noemi and Elanta at the Benzinga conference in Chicago and given my personal background and interest in tech startups, i was pumped to get them on the podcast. Cannatech Venture has the mission to move the cannabis industry forward through global innovation by fostering new technology, promoting community, and democratizing accessibility. They specifically focus on being a vehicle for tech-focused businesses. The growing need for technology can be seen in most aspects of the industry.

Cannabis Technology Incubator

Capital raises for cannabis companies have increase significantly since dispensaries were deemed essential in 2020. CannaTech Ventures is a vehicle for tech-focused cannabis entrepreneurs to receive mentorship, support, and resources to launch innovative, purpose-driven products. They have a 12-week program provides the education, mentorship, network and support your team needs to launch. A new cohort will be launched in January 2023.

Noemi and Elanta’s Backgrounds

Noemi Romero is the co-founder and Director of Operations of CannaTech Ventures. Noemi Romero started off as a nanny and rose through the ranks into the tech scene in 2018 via internships with 2112 and 4Degrees, soon after she was hired at 4Degrees as Customer Quality Engineer.

Noemi prides herself on honesty, empathy, and team support. When Noemi is not working on growing a customer base, she is a proud mother of two, which is why she is so driven. Now with CannaTech’s team, she loves helping entrepreneurs develop their ideas while ensuring they feel supported and heard.

Bio – Elanta earned a Bachelors in Marketing ’18 and Masters in Business Design & Innovation ’19 from Carthage College. Currently, also a candidate for Northwestern’s Digital Content Management certification.
Elanta was honored to teach business in Poland as a U.S. Fulbright Fellow ’20, while also advising small businesses in the greater Warsaw area.
Now following their passion for cannabis, tech, and media, landed a role as Media Manager for Chicago NORML and on an overall mission to destigmatize the plant via multi media.
