Is cannabis reform and legalization important to you? Jackie is intimately familiar with the issues facing the cannabis industry and has made it her mission to repeal cannabis prohibition laws. Today we hear her journey, from candidate for governor, to candidate for congress, and her hopes for making a difference for her district.
Legalization and Cannabis Reform
On Jackie’s website she states ” If elected I would enact legislation to release 40,000 non-violent cannabis offenders immediately. Additionally, Tax reform is key to my cannabis platform. Should any cannabis bill pass instituting any new federal tax, that tax should be paid by any state already collecting tax revenue from either a medical or adult-use market. New federal taxes should not fall on the already over-taxed cannabis marketplace.
