Our guest today is Cody Ley, a farmer from Michigan and the founder of Hemp 4 Humanity. With a background in Chemistry and experience in the cannabis/hemp industry, Cody started H4H with the goal of creating eco-friendly housing solutions that work with nature. Today, we’ll discuss industrial hemp, hempcrete, products made from hemp, the challenges of finding markets and suppliers for raw hemp, and the opportunities for this sustainable product.
2024 NIHH Hemp Building Workshop
I met Cody at Kifcure, a company that offers planting, harvesting, and storage solutions for industrial hemp crops. They’re hosting a two-day hemp building workshop in Maple Park, Illinois, on June 20th through 21st, in collaboration with the Northern Illinois Hemp Hub. The workshop will cover the science and environmental benefits of Hempcrete, hands-on activities, expert-led sessions, and networking opportunities.
