What is Industrial Hemp – A dual-purpose plant. It has special cannabis genetics that express and promote:

- Fiber – Bast Fiber – outer string part of the stalk
- Hurd – woody portion of the stalk. Decortication is process where a machine separates the fiber from the hurd.
- Seed
- CBD

Hemp has a big tap root that can break up soil and makes it more drought tolerant.

- BMW makes bio-plastic components from hemp
- Hemp is famous for storing carbon and other harmful metals
- Clean up contaminated soil
- Hempcrete is an environmentally positive alternative to concrete.
- Hemp bedding for livestock. Highly absorbent.
- Hemp seed and hemp hearts are nutritious.
